Welcome to Brain Damage Comics

Our way of honoring Benny Rose's family legacy and adding a bit of our own quirky spin to the world of comics.

ABOUT US

Brain Damage Comics is more than just a creative outlet. It's a tribute to a lifelong love of pop culture that started in a small comic shop back in Brooklyn NY. Growing up in the 80s, Benny Rose spent his childhood surrounded by comic books, video games, action figures, and all things wonderfully geeky, thanks to his parent’s store. What began as a childhood immersed in collecting and selling these treasures has come full circle—now we’re creating our own stories.¨Our mission is to bring you offbeat, memorable stories that you won’t find anywhere else. Here, you’ll get a taste of what we do and who we are.¨

PROJECTS

Dive into the worlds we’re building! From the nostalgic misadventures in “Closing Shop: Yea…Bout That…” to the offbeat action-comedy antics of Ace Bumpers: “The Flamingo Man,” each project page will give you a glimpse into our unique style.

Closing Shop: Yea… Bout That…

¨A 32-page standalone comic about friendship, burnout, and the weird beauty of letting go.¨Xander and KC have worked side-by-side in a small video game store for nearly a decade. It’s been more than a job — it’s where they grew up, survived retail hell, and met all kinds of oddballs. But on the day of Xander’s 30th birthday, they find out the store’s closing… to make room for a laundromat. With no warning, no plan, and no extra lives — they’re forced to face what comes next. For fans of- Slice-of-life and workplace comedies with crude humor

- Anyone who’s ever said, “I’m quitting retail for good this time.”

Ace Bumpers: The Flamingo Man

"A neon-soaked detective comedy about Ace Bumpers, an ’80s action hero electro-blasted into the modern day, where his retro bravado collides with today’s petty crimes and absurd culture."Ace Bumpers, also known as The Flamingo Man, is a character born from the neon glow of the 1980s. He embodies the slick charm of a retro action hero—part Miami Vice, part Magnum P.I.—but with a twist: he doesn’t quite belong in the world around him. His flamboyant style, corny banter, and pastel-drenched swagger make him stand out in a modern setting, almost like he’s coated in the static haze of a CRT television. He’s a Bird out of time. For fans ofAdult humor like Paradise PD
Animation blended with reality like Cool World and Who Framed Roger Rabbit
